Dr. Douglas R. Langefeld

Doug grew up in Oak Park, Illinois and graduated from Oak Park, River Forest high school in 1967. He then attended the University of Illinois in Champaign - Urbana and graduated with a major in Biology in 1971.

He attended the University of Illinois College of Dentistry in Chicago, graduating in 1975. After dental school Doug served for 2 years in the United States Navy as a dentist for the marines at Camp Pendleton, California.

He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, the Chicago Dental Society and the McHenry County Dental Society.

Doug loves vegetable gardening, yard work, fishing and golfing. He is also interested in fire fighting memorabilia. He likes to say "I am a fire fighter in my heart and a dentist by trade." 

 

Dr. Marc E. Czapla

Marc grew up in Des Plaines, Illinois and graduated from Forest View high school in Arlington Heights in 1979. He  attended the University of Illinois in Champaign - Urbana and graduated with a major in biology in 1983.

He graduated from Loyola University School of Dentistry in Chicago in 1987 and is a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, the Chicago Dental Society and the McHenry County Dental Society. Czapla served as Chief Resident Department Head at Sherman Hospital in Elgin, Illinois and is currently Associate Attending staff member.

Marc particularly enjoys oral surgery, and has extensive experience placing implants, including training at Cook County Hospital. Marc lives in the area with his wife, Diane, and their 2 children. He loves to play ice hockey as well as hunting, fishing, and golfing. 

 

Dr. Mark A. Matthaei

Mark Matthaei grew up in Crystal Lake. He graduated from Crystal Lake South high school in 1993. After high school he went to the University of Illinois in Champaign - Urbana and graduated with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry. He went to dental school at Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville and graduated in 2001. After graduation he joined the staff of our office.

He is a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society and the McHenry County Dental Society.

Mark's philosophy is to treat everyone as you would like to be treated. He enjoys working on all types and all ages of patients and tries to make them feel as comfortable as possible. Mark lives in the area with his wife, Jenn, their children, and 2 dogs. He loves fishing, snow skiing and golfing.
